This is a solenoid-actuated Bosch CRI2-16 M2 injector. It meters and atomises diesel directly into the combustion chamber at common rail pressure, on timing and quantity commanded by the engine ECU, which is what restores smooth idle, clean combustion and correct fuel consumption on a worn engine. The part number is supplied without an individual injector accuracy (IMA) correction code, so there is no code laser-marked on the body to write into the ECU after fitting.
