Remanufactured, or rebuilt, Bosch 0460424055 VE diesel fuel injection pump (Bosch type VE4/12F1250R359-1, OE Cummins 3914924 and 3917531) for the Cummins 4BT 3.9L four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine rated at 105 HP (78 kW). The unit is rebuilt with new internal components and calibrated on a diesel test bench in our own workshop in Romania, and is supplied with a 1-year warranty. The VE pump is the heart of a mechanical (non common rail) diesel fuel system: a single plunger driven by a cam plate builds injection pressure and a rotating distributor head feeds each of the four injection lines in turn, while the mechanical governor sets fuelling against engine speed and load. A correctly calibrated pump restores clean starting, a stable idle, full rated power and the factory smoke level.

Common symptoms of a failing Bosch VE injection pump
On a mechanically governed VE pump the typical signs are long cranking or a no-start when hot, an unstable or hunting idle, loss of full-load power, black or white smoke, and diesel leaking from the top cover or the drive shaft seal. A worn distributor head or delivery valve shows up as uneven running between cylinders, while a sticking cold-start or timing advance mechanism gives poor cold starting and late injection. Rule out a blocked fuel filter, a weak lift pump, air drawn in on the suction side and contaminated fuel first, and have the pump tested on a diesel bench before replacing it.
